India Power Review provides up-to-date reports on India’s unfolding power transformation, with a special focus on collating and presenting, as clearly as possible, key data from different public sources, which is often hard to find and even harder to piece together.  IPR is aimed at informing public debate, is independent, and receives no advertising or commercial revenue.

IPR founder Charles Worringham is a former researcher at universities in the USA and Australia and a four-time candidate for the Greens in State and Federal elections in Australia.  His interest in India’s energy future followed the 2015 Queensland election where opening up new export coal mines became a campaign issue.  He subsequently travelled around India by train meeting a range of energy policy experts, researchers, and commercial and social enterprises to learn about India’s power system, new developments, and solutions to energy poverty.
